During my work on a smart city project I enhanced Terraform configurations by adding new modules for GitLab runners and implementing AWS IAM roles and policies for IRSA, improving infrastructure scalability, security, and maintainability. Expanded GitLab CI/CD pipelines with features such as Kubepug for detecting deprecated Kubernetes objects and Trivy for container vulnerability scanning, strengthening deployment reliability and security compliance. While working at a health-tech startup, I was responsible for configuring ArgoCD applications, building custom Helm charts, onboarding data-team services into the cluster, debugging application issues, developing and improving Terraform modules, and simplifying the overall platform architecture.

Built a Go-based cost calculation service (similar to Kubecost) that collected CPU, memory, network, and storage metrics per namespace, pod, and node, storing results in PostgreSQL for visualization in Grafana. Migrated business applications across Kubernetes clusters, updated Dockerfiles, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes manifests, and Argo CD applications to ensure smooth transitions. Upgraded and optimized Kubernetes clusters, including custom manifest updates, cluster versions, performance enhancements with KEDA-based autoscaling, caching, and advanced monitoring.

Developed on-demand staging environments on Kubernetes, enabling teams to work in isolated, scalable, and self-healing sandboxes, which accelerated testing and reduced environment conflicts. Built a Go-based deployment pipeline tool that streamlined and standardized interactive production deployments, improving release reliability and reducing operational overhead. Evaluated and recommended an optimal Git workflow strategy, aligning company practices with modern CI/CD standards and enhancing collaboration across development teams.

Implemented Zabbix and Ansible Tower (AWX) to centralize monitoring and automation, improving visibility into server health and streamlining project operations.

Redesigned and migrated the core application from .NET to PHP, transitioning components to Linode cloud services. Achieved significant cost savings, strengthened security, and introduced automated backup processes. Automated data ingestion from household robotics devices (iRobot Roomba, iRobot Braava) and built a Node.js–based application to process and leverage the collected data. Optimized database performance by normalizing the MySQL schema, enhancing indexing strategies, improving query execution times, and developing parsers for plaintext and binary file formats.

Delivered multiple web and mobile projects, including skorstensgaard.dk, technicafootball.com, and a social media Android app for a mobile operator, meeting client requirements and deadlines. Managed and mentored a team of two PHP developers, introducing agile practices such as daily standups, retrospectives, sprint planning, and monthly knowledge-sharing sessions to improve productivity and collaboration. Administered workstations and cloud infrastructure for a team of 20+ designers and developers, ensuring reliable access, system stability, and smooth operational workflows.

Enhanced in-house CMS systems by extending the core functionality of PHP frameworks based on CodeIgniter and Kohana, improving maintainability and feature set. Developed APIs for banking and e-commerce platforms, integrating digital payment systems to streamline transactions and improve user experience. Built a product gallery using vanilla JavaScript, enabling dynamic and interactive product viewing for web applications.

Configured 30+ Solaris environments for Java applications using Jenkins.

Developed the practical component of my Bachelor's thesis using Hidden Markov Models in Python.
