I was part of the Payment team at Future Ordering. We developed and enhanced the payment infrastructure for Future Orderings’s global applications who run on Azure. The SaaS application is used by companies like: MAX Burgers, Pizza Hut, KFC, Burger King, etc. Responsibilities included developing front end components, improving the Azure infrastructure, payment integration, Apple Pay, improving Cosmos DB performance and updating code to .Net 8. For three years at Afound, I have worked with the following: Azure DevOps, primarily Azure Pipelines, where I set up workflows for both back-end and front-end, as well as cache management for npm and NuGet. I have also set up various functions for different operations to process queue data. I introduced and implemented a gateway API to achieve better separation, performance, and communication between services, which in turn made further development significantly easier. All of this was done in C# (except for pipeline markup). Regarding the frontend, which was my main focus, it involved a lot of things. When I joined, they were using legacy technologies like Knockout. My focus was on rewriting legacy code to a React solution, which included several utility packages to share styling and components between React solutions (since the checkout is completely separated from the e-commerce). In addition to the React solution, I also set up a few web components (vanilla and lit) to display graphs and similar elements. PS: A fun fact is that I was involved in developing and implementing their entire strategy for A/B testing new features before go-live, which included both client-side testing (towards customers) and backend testing internally.
