Hired in for this interim management role, Calle helped set the foundation for stability and growth in an exceptionally chaotic environment with a huge technical debt. Calle successfully completed the migration of database environments, previously attempted and deemed impossible by others. Calle grew and doubled the team in two locations. Introducing modern, containerized architecture, Calle built the foundation for future development at dao. Results included more stable operations, fewer and less critical incidents, and better monitoring and data analytics.

On this top-priority project for Norlys, Calle was brought in to manage a project with the development of 14 systems and services across 8 internal and external teams. To bring the project on track, he analyzed the causes of delays and put structures in place to create flow across the project organization. Calle introduced improved ways of working, aligned business needs with development requirements through weighted prioritization, created a release roadmap, and improved the overall strategy-to-status alignment for stakeholders. In addition, Calle was able to identify unmet needs in the delivery organization that had an adverse effect and he was praised for initiatives he took for better workflow. Through visual reports, he presented a plan for how the organization could work to improve business requirements processes, supporting value streams, and decision-making processes.

As the Acting Product Owner for a team developing and operating key systems in the Azure cloud, Calle has been the connecting link between business and development. Calle has been communicating with stakeholders - including customers - to translate needs into tasks, preparing the team backlog, and enabling the team to work with better flow. Calle took the initiative to improve internal work paths and workflows - focused on Business Value, Impact, and getting the right details from the right people to bring the right information, on time In this multifaceted role, Calle coordinated the operations and development of the internally built Retail Management System and integrations with the ERP system, Business Intelligence, supply chain management, POS, data warehouse, API development, and more As a servant leader in the team, he has connected business to IT and translated strategic goals into development tasks. Calle has also been part of the recruitment of new members to the development team. He has been providing insights for the architectural team to make informed decisions about how to phase out legacy systems. In addition, Calle worked with a cloud architecture on the Azure platform, including CI pipelines for end-to-end automation. Calle has been highly appreciated by the business for being accessible and explaining technical terms and obstacles in ways that are easy to understand. He mentored developers and sparred with management for sustainable solutions, providing insights from over 25 years in the business. He teaches IT consultants, advises on app and platform development, and coaches IT executives on digitalization and digital transformation. May 2024 - May 2025 Stealth startup as Startup advisor: Drawing on nearly 3 decades of experience with versatile roles in digital business, Calle helped this stealth SaaS startup with advisory and a task prioritization framework. Arbetsförmedlingen - Gig Economy Platform (Swedish Employment Service) as Technology Coach: In this public sector initiative from the Swedish Unemployment Service, Calle was part of a team developing a platform from concept to operations. He coached public sector managers in decisions for the direction of this new and innovative platform. Calle worked with the team to build cloud-based apps connected to an Azurebased service architecture. Folkpool - Webshop Checkout (E-Commerce) as Tech Lead: With a client inexperienced in agile methods, Calle helped coach the Product Owner of this project to plan and build a new and improved checkout process for an industry-leading webshop. He guided the client's CTO in decision-making for optimal UX and conversion rate optimization. The team developed a business-layer API for interaction with the ERP system, along with a Vue-based application for checkout with a new payment gateway. API for Waste & Recycling Statistics as Product Owner & Consultant: For a time-constrained project, Calle designed an API for a Waste & Recycling statistics provider to municipalities in Denmark. Calle handled business requirements and project planning for the client as well as managing the delivery of the solution.

In the CTO role at this multinational company, Calle led a team that brought a 17% YoY growth. From recruitment to building a highly talented team, Calle established an agile workflow, improved internal processes, and a common terminology in-house. Calle was the head of the Danish office, working closely with the CEO and department heads. Particular results to highlight include success dashboards with cross-company KPIs, API development with on-time delivery, and building a new revenue stream by creating a new booking engine. Hands-on during crunch times, Calle was pulling his own weight to get things done on time. He led by example and inspired confidence in the team. Dec 2016 - Dec 2017 Property Management System Integration as Tech Lead: Calle led the integration of property management systems to grow the company inventory of vacation rental properties in Spain from 8000 to over 17000. Dec 2015 - Nov 2016 Booking Engine for Vacation Rentals as Chief Technology Officer: Functioning in roles as Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Project Manager, Calle led a team of developers to deliver a complete booking engine with payments (Stripe, Adyen) and availability for vacation rentals in Spain. Hands-on programming to rapidly prototype, implement and test new functionality to meet business requirements.

Calle built the solution architecture, systems (API) integrations, booking engine integrations, developed analytics, and a search engine. He worked closely with the CEO on performance and conversions. Calle managed a small team of developers. Search Algorithm as Lead Developer: Implemented ElasticSearch for logging and integration of statistics into a new search engine. Visualization of performance and error monitoring with dashboards. Vacation Rental Feed Import as Lead Developer: Efficient ETL into SQL Server database and ElasticSearch search engine from multiple partner API's.

In this startup, Calle worked with a very talented team to create solutions for the future of shopping. He managed an agile team in nine countries.

Founding member of the next-generation marketing consulting firm Reloop, Calle worked with the technical optimization of online marketing systems for clients in Europe.

Calle was responsible for TradeDoubler's with the largest accounts, globally. He helped Global 500 corporations improve and automate their marketing efforts create measurable results. A few of the customers include Dell, eBay, Yahoo! and American Express.

Calle worked as a consultant for over a decade, full-time or part time. He built over 100 websites, systems, and platforms. He was an advisor to Forrester Research and worked small and large customers, including Ecolean and Kraft Foods.

Worked at 3 companies during this time. After finishing university in New York City, Calle worked a short while in marketing and business development, before moving into IT. He quickly worked his way to a Senior Developer role in a web development agency in NYC. When the dot-com bubble crashed, Calle left the US for Sweden, where he started his own consulting business.
